do we need license for ASM when using it in Single Instance Environment

Hi,

Scenario:
======
DB Version: 11gRel2.
OS: RHEL 5u8
Plan: To use ASM with single instance database.

http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/install.112/e16763/whatsnew.htm states

“For single instance databases, Oracle Grid Infrastructure includes Oracle Automatic Storage Management (Oracle ASM), the listener, and Oracle Restart.”
“To use Oracle Grid Infrastructure for a standalone server, you must install the Oracle software from the Oracle Grid Infrastructure media before you install the database.”

Everything is ok till here.

Now, http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/license.112/e10594.pdf states:

RAC comes as extra cost when using it with Enterprise Edition. This is also understandable when you have two or more nodes in your cluster.

Now, I would like to know if we need license when we plan to install Clusterware on Single Node (so that we can have ASM) to be used with Single Instance Databases, without using Oracle RAC One Node.

regards,
