Do Tablespace Warnings not consider Auto-Extend space? How to respond...

OTN_User_DavidOct 12 2021 — edited Oct 12 2021

So, I have a question RE: Tablespaces and usage warnings... I have my DEVELOPMENT tablespace setup with 5 datafiles, devl01.dbf through devl05.dbf. All files are setup to Auto-Extend to Max (32GB). Files 01-04 are all currently around ~17GB in size, with the fifth only at ~1.5GB in size. Files 01-04 are ~95% used (of the current 17GB size), and the fifth is ~60% used. Overall, this gives the Tablespace an combined 87% usage of the currently allotted size, hence the warning... BUT-- that warning does not factor in the fact that all these files are able to extend to double their current size...
Do I bother "reacting" to this warning? Or do I trust that the existing files will extend as needed, and things will function normally for quite some time. I believe the fifth file in the tablespace was added in reaction to a similar warning in the past, in collaboration with former DBAs.
Of course, I did verify that the volume where the datafiles live have enough room to allow for the auto-extend.
Thanks,
David S
