I have embedded a rich text editor in my compose message page.
Now that when I mail text with formatted text am recieving the mail correctly. I am able to see the mail RTF.
But when I paste images inside the Rich Text editor and when I send the mail, the image is getting stripped out.
I am seeing the image link displayed in normal text (not even as link), but not inline to the message.
I want message to display the image too inline with the message (the way I composed the mail).
will it be possible this way. I have seen the FAQ
Q: How do I send HTML mail that includes images?
A: The simplest approach is to send HTML text with image tags that reference images on a public web site.
In this approach the images aren't actually included in the message, and so won't be visible if the user is not connected to the Internet when they read the message.
Note also that some mailers will refuse to display images that are on remote sites.
I am using an IFRAME to display the contents of the message and heres the code snipped.
<td align="left" valign="top" colspan="3" class="padleft">
<% if (message.isSinglepart()) { %> <pre><%= message.getBody() %></pre>
<% } else {
JwmaMessagePart[] parts=message.getMessageParts();
for (int i=0;i<parts.length;i++) {
//if (prefs.isDisplayingInlined()) {
if (i == 0) {
%><pre> <%= htmlhelper.displayPartInlined(session, parts,prefs, bundle) %> </pre><% }
else { %>
<tr bgcolor="#F1F8FE"> <td height="30" colspan="3" nowrap bgcolor="#F1F8FE"> <%= htmlhelper.getPartDescription(parts[i], bundle) %>
</td><%
}
}
}
%> </td>
What could be the possible solution for this.
Thanks so much in advance.
Ramki.
Formatted text properly.
