APEX

Hi

I am novice to APEX , My requirement goes this way, I have an XYZ table and for that I generated a report with many colums and for that I have a form to change the values /update on for a particlular column(ABC) in that table ,where in the form I have taken a pop-up for that column (ABC)so that when clicked on that a list of choices dispalyed on selecting that It gets reflected in the form and when I click on apply changes button on the form .In the report the relavent values get changes as per the data base this is fine ,but I have 2 more (columns edited_name ,edited_time )where on a change on that (ABC) i need the current user's name and the time to be displayed in the report.

Well the user name here is the user_name related to the my application login (Apps Reports)not the worksapce username of APEX used for developing .As the same application will be used across many people and updations done on that colum at the same time.It should sink with that .
At the end in the report based on the login name (application) I need to view the edited_name & edited_time.Can any one please help me .
