Currently we are analyzing, can APEX be used to replace the discoverer reports. We have around 200 reports to convert. Most of the reports are direct sql which can be plugged in APEX. Very few in discoverer run more than 15 mins to complete. Probably the SQL code should be tuned on these reports.
There are other third party vendors advising their tool is the best fit as performance in APEX becomes worst if multiple users runs the report very often that hits the oracle database where ORACLE ERP data resides. Please advice on this.
Can you provide company references who is running report, dashboards in APEX? or who converted their reports from discoverer tool to APEX? This will help us to determine if APEX is the best fit.
