Discoverer: Desktop Vs Plus

I have few questions regarding the latest release of the Discoverer.
We wanted to try out a Reporting application using the Oracle 10g suite. The team is relatively new to the Oracle 10g BI. We have installed the database with the OLAP option as we wanted our reports to use the multi-dimensional data that is stored in a Analytic Workspace. We have designed and dimensions and facts using OWB paris (MOLAP implementation) and deployed them in a Analytic workspace.
Then we have installed the BI Suite (Standard Edition - 10.1.2.1) which contained latest release of the Discoverer (installed the Desktop and Administrator, the only two Components available with the CD). To our disppointment we are not able to SEE the multidimensional objects.
After searching in the oracle site, it seems that it's not possible to access OLAP data with the Discoverer desktop and it seems that we need a Discoverer Plus (which is part of the 10g AS).
Here are my questions:
1. Is there any way we can access the OLAP data from the Discoverer (Desktop) which came along with the BI Suite Standard edition? Any workaround from Oracle?
2. Incase if it is possible only with Discoverer plus, do we also need the 10g AS? Is there any standalone vesions of the Discoverer plus?
Oracle guys,
1. Can you also let me the minimum licensing required if we want the BI suite avialble with the 10g AS?
2. Is there any plan to bring in the Discoverer plus, viewer etc into the BI Suite Standard edition? Or the functinalities available with the Discoverer Plus going to be retrofitted with Discoverer Desktop.
Regards,
Nat
