Discoverer conditions - Need 'AND' group plus 'OR' group

We have a new Oracle EBS system (not yet live) and I have spent a couple of weeks reading the manuals and 'playing' with the test system. It was all making some sort of sense until I tried to create a complex condition in Discoverer Admin.

The Oracle BI Discoverer Administration Guide 10g Release 2 shows an image on page 12-6 with TWO groups. The instructions on page 12-7 state "drag and drop a handle ... to reposition the condition statement in a nested hierarchy".

Can someone please explain how to get a nested hierarchy to drag a handle into? I have only ONE group heading and every condition I [Add] goes into that one group. I need a second group nested inside the first and I simply cannot see how to do this.
