Disco Plus fails on 1st time login each time

We have a really annoying problem which has just started happening over the past month or so. Discoverer PLus fails at login on the first attempt every time, we get an error which says - Failed to connect to database - ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
If we then re-enter the credentials it lets us in on the second attempt. I thought to begin with that it was just me typing to quickly and entering the wrong password but I know have lots of my users reporting the same problem.
It is happening on a selection of platforms (Win 200, XP) using both IE and Firefox, acorss all databases. I thought to start with it was an App server problem but I have reported it to our DBA's and they are unable to reproduce it on their pc's.
It is really starting to become annoying, has anyone else experieced this and if so what is the answer?
