Disabling the dynamic loading of kernel modules

user9104195Nov 19 2013 — edited Dec 6 2013

Hello, I have the great task of applying STIGS to the servers.

Several revolve around the disabling of certain protocol handlers from loading at boot.

Configure the system to prevent the dynamic loading of the SCTP, DCCP,  UDP-Lite, IPX, AppleTalk, RDS, TIPC, protocol handler and the IPv6 protocol handler from the ntework stack.

The support folks on my oracle support sent me a link to a white paper but further investigation only turned up how to disable RDS but none of the others.

Anyone have experience with this?

You figured it would be the modification of Solaris's equivilant to Linux modprob_conf file.
