Direct database access with Windows Mobile 5.0

Hello,

We have an Oracle8i production database. We like to access the tables using a hand-held device running on either Windows CE or Mobile. Does anyone have any ideas to my questions below:

1. Is there a way to access the database directly (for example SQL Plus, or ODBC as on Windows XP) without having to install OLite Database on the device and live with the sync?

2. Can OLite sync with Oracle8i database?
