Diplay modal window in Oracle forms 11g

Hello,
I have a dialog window in my form. It gets displayed OK when I set the Modal property of window as 'No'. But when I set it 'Yes' the window does not gets displayed. The form does not even throws error.
I am using go_item and then show_window to display the window.

Can anyone please help.
