digital camera and solaris 10

I have been trying to get my new nikon coolpiz l4 to work on my sb1k, and wonder if anyone even knows if it is possible. rmformat shows the camera but nothing mounts. rmmount does nothing. It is not found using gphoto and the gui digital camera thing in JDS does not see it (and it is not listed in there anyway).

The camera uses a sandisk memory card.

Could I just get a sandisk reader? Do those work well in Solaris? Is the format of the card causing the issue?

Should I just give up?
