Differentce between xxx.log and xxx-diagnostic.log on weblogic server?

Hi,

I saw we have a few log files on our 11g weblogic server. xxx is our application name, and I would like to know what's the difference between xxx.log and xxx-diagnostic.log?

I set the logging level to ERROR level, and I can see the effect on xxx.log, but not in xxx-diagnostic.log. I can see some different messages in xxx-diagnostics.log like this:

[2012-03-07T23:33:14.200+00:00] [itas] [NOTIFICATION] [] [oracle.globalit.itas.fusion.view.backing.BackingBeanBase] [tid: [ACTIVE].ExecuteThread: '8' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'] [userId: <anonymous>] [ecid: f9fa413c88edbb56:-76b8ece8:135b1ac204a:-8000-00000000000095a7,0] [APP: itas_ear] Entering getFaTypeCodeList

Any ideas?
