Differenence between .db, .sql and .sqlite in ADF Mobile and their use.

What is the use of .db, .sql and .sqlite file in ADF mobile. If I want to use database in mobile what should I use? .sql or .sqlite?

I am using .sqlite file to create a .db file, but I get NullPointerException whereas the .sql file works great.

So, I want to know the exact difference of these 3 files and their uses in ADF mobile.

I need your valuable help.
