Difference Between Schema & USer

720666Jul 28 2011 — edited Jul 28 2011
Please let me know the exact difference between Schema & user ?

Can we have various users assigned to a particular Schema .

My issue is that I am not able to decide in which case we need to design a more than 1 schema OR just assign different users to a schema ?
My database is accessed by 2 type of application
1. Java (Stores Data)
2. Domino (Stores metadata)
Each application have specific set of tables , but as a DBA - data of both the applications is interlinked & joins will b applied to generate future report .

kindly suggest should I make same Schema with 2 users OR 2 different schema .
Please suggest ??
