Difference between QueueConnectionFactory and ConnectionFactory?

When I am creating/using a JMS queue I can specify a JMS ConnectionFactory.
When I walk through the Adapter wizard I am asked for the name of this
JMS ConnectionFactory.

I have seen two possible values at this point:

QueueConnectionFactory or ConnectionFactory

What are the differences?
