Difference between Pro *C and OCI

user10484841Apr 1 2011 — edited Apr 6 2011
Hi Guys,

I'm very new to the OCI and I want to know the difference between Pro C and OCI. As I know that Pro C is used to emmbed the SQL statements with the third generation languages like C and OCI allows you to create applications that use the native procedures or function calls of a third-generation language to access an Oracle database server. So when to use OCI and when to use Pro *C.

Thanks in advance.

Regards
