Difference between Migration/Upgradation

Hi All,

Please tell me the difference between Migration and upgradation of databse.

I have read several times in Oracle documentation the line " migrating database to 10g from oracle 9i".

What does these process called,migration or upgradation.
1) Changing storage (SAN) for database.
2) Changing OS (means Linux to Solaris)
3) Changing Oracle type( 32-bit to 64-bit and vice versa)
