Difference between CPUs, COREs & Sockets in virtual server & physical server

Hi All,

We have oracle 11.2 on Axi 7.1 and red hat . Few servers are virtual servers and few physical servers

In AWR report ,i couldn't understand the difference between CPUs, COREs & Sockets.

The value is NULL in sockets in AWR report if virtual servers. Is it right?

Any Suggestions.
