Difference between CLOB/BLOB/NCLOB in SQL SERVER

HI,
i want to know the difference between CLOB/BLOB/NCLOB , Also can i store a .xls or .doc or .xml file in a BLOB? is blob only for image/audio/vedio files? cant a image be stored in CLOB? this is with respect to SQL serve.
