Developer Toolbar missing each time while Availability Status = "Available with Developer Toolbar"

Yvo-BreuerMay 7 2024 — edited May 7 2024

Hi everyone, for some time I've got something strange going on. I'm getting sick and tired of it so I'm asking for help now.

Each time when I close my browser or log out of APEX and I login again in my APEX app (built within a free instance on OCI) my developer toolbar (devbar) is down the drain even though the Availability Status was set to “Available with Developer Toolbar”.

I've found the following workaround:

  • Via “Edit Application Definition” I change the Availability Status from “Available with Developer Toolbar” to another option without the devbar, for example “Available” and click Apply Changes.
  • I again change the Availability Status back to “Available with Developer Toolbar” and click Apply Changes.
  • When I run a page I've got my devbar back.

So I've got this workaround, but it's quite annoying. Each time I have to remind APEX that it has to show my devbar. It should know it has to, because it's in the application definition, but when I run a page, APEX seems to suffers from some form of Dementia Light and I get no devbar. So I have to do my workaround again. And when my browser crashes I have to do it again. Or when I take a break and I'm logged out I have to do it again. And again, and again…

Btw, I haven't got any JavaScript errors in the browser console when running a page. And it doesn't matter which browser I use. I've tried Edge, Chrome, regular Firefox and Firefox Developer Edition.

Who can help me out?
