Determining Oracle Home Path

Good Day,

After installing Oracle 10g Express Edition, I noticed that the parameter for ORACLE_HOME was not defined. What is the best way to determine this value? I am using this application in support of IBM Tivoli Compliance Insight Manager v8.0.
