Determine version of Java used when Oracle kernel create

524043Dec 21 2006 — edited Dec 22 2006
For AIX version 5.2 and Oracle versions 8.1.7.4, 9.2.0.6, and 9.2.0.8, what is the command to determine the version of Java that was used when the Oracle kernel was created?

I need to determine the Java version due to changes on our AIX nodes for 2007 Daylight Savings Time changes in the U.S.

My AIX system admin is stating the following "Almost every AIX LPAR will need to have the operating system patched/upgraded & rebooted to handle the Daylight Saving Time adjustments. The supported operating system supplied Java code bases will also be updated on majority of the LPARs. For Java 1.1.8 or earlier, Java 1.2.2, Java 1.3.0, Java 1.4.0, and Java 1.4.1 there are no fixes available, hence no APAR for these out of Service Java products on AIX. All unsupported versions of Java will be disabled on the AIX lpars during the scheduled OS patch/upgrade date." LPARs will be upgraded to the latest technology level & service pack available which is AIX 5200-09-03.

In the past, we have not taken any specific action in Oracle for Daylight savings time as we do not have any datetime fields which are used across multiple time zones.

Will I have to re-link the Oracle kernels with the new version of Java?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
