Determine Sleepy Cat Db Version

Hello.

Is there a way to determine the current version of the Sleepcat DB which comes with a particular version of SunONE DS? For instance if i upgrade from 5.2 P2 -> P6, how can I verify if the underlying database has been upgraded? The only way I have seen this done is to run the 'strings' command on the ns-slapd, but I am not clear if this is correctly reflects the version. Can anyone confirm?
