We are attempting to deploy the 12.1.0.4 Cloud control agent on 64 Bit AIX power system 6.1
We are using the Deploy method from the OMS console which we have centralised on an Oracle Enterprise Linux 6 server.
We have assigned a seperate file system of 1GB to receive this agent. We have done this for the following reasons
1. The company that is installing Oracle Financials does not wish us to have the agen on any of the file systems that they are working on.
2. There was only 1GB spare to create a seperate file system, according to our AIX admins
3. We have read that an agent does not need more than 1GB on any OS
We have found that our install of Oracle Agent goes into an interminable wait during the deploy at the second task which is copying the agent softeare from OMS to the AIX server. At the same time our AIX administrators are claiming that the disk space in the file system is full up (without being able to present evidence for this)
My query is therefore a simple precursor question about space needs for an agent deploy in AIX.
¿Does anyone know how much space should be left free for the installation of the agent in AIX using the deploy from OMS method. We would understand this question to include space for the following
1. Space for the staging area for the software that is copied from OMS to the target server
2. Space for the actual agent once installed
3. Space for growth during operation of the agent
I have seen general figures saying that 1GB is sufficient space for an agent deploy but have not found anything explicitly stating how much we need to make available on AIX Power Systems 6.1
I would welcome replies from persons who have deployed the agent to AIX and give me concrete figures.
Thanks in advance for your attention.
