deploy and activate new 12.1.2.7 Audit Vault Agent

I'm wanting to deploy the new 12.1.2.7 agent to a target host that already has the 12.1.2.5 agent. I may have created a bit of a mess by just trying to deploy the new agent on top of the old. I've not found any instructions on how to deploy an agent where one already exists.

I received an error extracting the jar file.

Agent host is not registered.

Agent host must be registered before an agent can be installed or upgraded. Agent deployment failed.

I've looked at Agent Host Is Not Registered. (Doc ID 1908035.1) on the Support web site,

and compared the bootstrap.prop files on the Audit Vault server and target host. the IP Addresses are the same.

The av.common-27552-0.log has the following error PKIX path validation failed: java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException: signature check failed

I'm wondering if I can just delete the agenthome directory on the target host and start fresh?
