Demo tables

Hi,
I am facing trouble with the demobld.sql. First I logged in as normal user (scott).And I am trying to create the demobld.sql by giving @OraHome1/sqlplus/demo/demobld.sql. Then it shows, It is creating the demotables.
When I give the query as select * from tab; Then it is giving No rows are selected.
why is it so?
I am doing all these on linux.
