Deleting OCR and Voting Disk by DD command

user13656883Mar 28 2011 — edited Mar 28 2011
hi Experts
i need your help, actullay i start installation of Oracle Clusterware 10gr2 on Redhat linux 4.5 and during VIPCA i get error that ons is not started on both nodes now i wan to remove all the clusterware installation from both nodes and for this is following metalink note 239998.1. in this doc i m confused while removing ocr and voting disk commands

dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/rdsk/V1064_vote_01_20m.dbf bs=1M count=256
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/rdsk/ocrV1064_100m.ora bs=1M count=256

the point off confusion is i have placed my OCR and vote files on ocfs2 formatted mount points and on the command as above what should i write there in "of=/dev/rdsk/V1064_vote_01_20m.dbf" as my directory path is /u03/ocr/ocr.crs and /u03/vote/vote.crs and the device name on which these are mounted /dev/sdb1 and /dev/sdc1 .

so my question is should i use /u03/ocr/ocr.crs or /dev/sdb1 in the command's part of=/dev/rdsk/V1064_vote_01_20m.dbf ?????

regards,
