Deleting Image Copy after Switchover

970159Oct 23 2012 — edited Oct 25 2012
Hi,

I have a test database with 2 image copies - each with it's own tag. I performed a switch over to one of these. The image copy files are now my live database files and the previous live files are now recognised as an image copy. I now want to delete these image copy files so that I can create a fresh image image copy. Unfortunately, the tag associated with the image copy before the switch over has not carried over to the datafiles now they are an image copy - in fact they have no tag at all. Therefore I am wondering how I can delete this image copy via RMAN. I know I could delete the actual files and then perform a crosscheck/delete expired but I am trying to automate this so wanted to use the delete copy of database with tag... command.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Regards,

Eddie
