Oracle Database Discussions

hello,

I see dbf files dating for more than 1 year.

I am not sure of the info but I know that all files that Oracle uses should be dated when Oracle was started (which is a month ago).

Can we conclude that these old dbf files can be safely removed?

If I proceed with deletion (or moving to be on the safe side) of dbf files, how to check that Oracle db is not corrupted without doing a stop and start of the server?
