Deleting Cookies from Servlet

hi

i am working on JDeveloper 11.1.2.3

i made a servlet filter and it works well but the problem is in the cookies ... i tried to delete the cookies from the servlet but in vain

i uses this code but it does not work

cookie.setMaxAge( 0 );
