Delete domain error

When I try to delete a paused domain by xm delete OVM_EL4U5_X86_PVM_4GB,this action failed.
Error messages is as follows:
xm delete OVM_EL4U5_X86_PVM_4GB
Error: Domain is not halted.
Usage: xm delete <DomainName>

Remove a domain from Xend domain management.

What is the matter?
