Deinstallation of Oracle 11g

Jagdeep SangwanFeb 19 2014 — edited Feb 19 2014

Hi All,

i am facing issue while deinstalling oracle 11g from my windows xp machine. I installed Oracle 11gR2 few days back and after approx 10 days i started to receive some error that some exe has encountered an error. Then i tried to deinstall oracle 11g as from one thread it was mentioned that it is related to enterprise manager and one of the services related to OracleDBConsole. But when i tried to remove my installed OraDb11g_Home1 one dialogue appears "Please run the command C:\app\Administrator\product\11.2.0..." it is not showing the full command.

After some R&D through i have also ran the deinstall from %ORACLE_HOME\deinstall path.

Request you to please give me the command that i should or the steps i should i follow so that i can deinstall my oracle 11g and again install the same.

And is it a known bug in oracle 11gR2 regarding that exe.

Further to mention after running deinstall from %ORACLE_HOME\deinstall path i am not getting that exe error anymore. but the machine is really really slow.

Any help is appreciated in advance

Regards,

Jagdeep Sangwan
