Default View for Journal

We have Budget scenario in HFM app which has default view as YTD and ZeroviewforAdj as Periodic. My understanding is that with this setting, any journal passed in this scenario will be treated as YTD, but HFM is treating it as Periodic. Is the understanding correct or am I missing some other settings?

Also, is there any way to select View for posting journals? HFM version is 11.1.2.3
