Debugger Error - "Cannot invoke "com.oracle.dbtools.server.debugger.plsql.PlsqlScope.get" because "plsqlScope" is null

While debugging procedures/packages (both simple and complex multi-level call stacks), I often and am greeted by the following error in the notification tree of VS Code

Cannot invoke "com.oracle.dbtools.server.debugger.plsql.PlsqlScope.get(java.lang.CharSequence)" because "plsqlScope" is null

I cannot find any errors in the SQL Developer logs even in trace mode but can provide if needed.
