debug is slooooooooooooooooooooow and hanging help

Please see above.

I have 8 GB allocated. I can not look at a simple object without the debugger hanging for 5 mins. Its spends 5 mins loading the debug information. What do I need to do? How can I make Jdeveloper 12.2.1.4 (12c) faster in this area?
