dcmctl utility

I was trying to deploy my application using dcmctl utility. I used the dcmctl deployApplication command and when I hit enter it take me to the prompt. The application was not deployed and I didn't get any error also. When I checked my dcmctl the file size is 0. I am having sun solaris os and Oracle application server 10g. Please help.
