dbx: internal error: signal SIGSEGV (no mapping at the fault address)

Hi
I'm facing a problem while trying to debug a binary file ( c executable) using DBX.

dbx: internal error: signal SIGSEGV (no mapping at the fault address)
dbx's coredump will appear in /tmp
Abort

But no core file is created in the /tmp directoy .
If i ran the application wiothout using DBX it rans perfectly.
So,Please suggest what could be reason for the error and how it could be removed.
