DBCA unable create database in 12c in Windows

2949916May 13 2015 — edited Jun 30 2015

Hi,

After installation of Oracle 12c on Windows Server 2012 R2 and successfully running the netca command to configure the listener, I am running in to issue with the DBCA tool

It throws a error message of "Recovery Manager failed to restore datafiles"

I looked at the log files, below is some information:

Corrupt block 1 found during reading backup piece, file=C:\ORACLE\PRODUCT\12.1\DBHOME_1\ASSISTANTS\DBCA\TEMPLATES\SEED_DATABASE.DFB, corr_type=4

Reread of blocknum=1, file=C:\ORACLE\PRODUCT\12.1\DBHOME_1\ASSISTANTS\DBCA\TEMPLATES\SEED_DATABASE.DFB, found same corrupt data

Not sure if that helps, but I am attaching more log files to help debug the issue.

I have read the post DBCA unable create database in 12c, but it does not quite have an answer.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Pranav
