DB Server physical memory high utilization

Jun_09Jan 13 2016 — edited Jan 13 2016

HI,

We have physical memory high utilization (83%) on one of DB server constantly, looks like many processes got paged in when DB was highly utilized and many pages got permanently resided in page cache / system kernel (marked In RED below snap) and put it in /tmp processes but they are not released after DB connections got normal stage, that’s the reason DB03 is showing 82% constantly ( 22% systems + 65 % DB) memory been utilized. And i would like to know how to clear this paged cache memory without rebooting physical server.

Please find the below snap systems physical memory utilization in RED and DB connection utilization in YELLOW.
