db_recovery_file_dest_size

Using Oracle 11G on Windows Server 2012.

The parameter db_recovery_file_dest_size = 120G

My question is, if this parameter is set to 120G and there is only 55GB of free space on my disk, shouldn't there be 120GB of free space on my disk to reflect the parameter of 120G?
