DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST on a network share?

Hi All,

Oracle 11G on Windows 2008 R2 Standard edition

Currently my FRA is on a local drive and we are looking/considering moving it to a network share (where it can go to tape automatically, etc..) (i.e. \\backuplocation\servername)

I cannot find any best practices on Oracle site for this but wondering if anyone had any recommendations for/against attempting this.
