Hello Experts,
Would someone help me with probably the best structured approach to troubleshoot database related performance issues (i know in general you may say it depends on the type of problem) ?
Please share the queries, scripts etc which can be used to handle database performance issues and to identify and rule out if it is not database and application (like awr sql*net message from client) or other issues.
I think as an example: here is what I am suppose…
1) What is the checklist of things you would do when DB CPU/Memory spikes?
2) Check Connection Pool Setting -> when should we do this?
3) Tuning queries -> what is the input, process, output
4) At what point do we review AWS report and what kind of issues will be highlighted in the review
etc...
It might be a bit difficult to summarize but the best way you could put it.
We might have different views and approach in handling and investigating based on our varied experiences, please shed some light and let know.
Thanks in advance.
