DB connectivity error

Hi Guru's

Here is the error message i am getting when i try to connect to the database through an DSN .

Can some one put some light on this ?

DSR.MetaGeta(GET.DSNINFO)(SQLConnect('xxxx.xxxxxxx-ENERGY.CO.IN','ET_USER')) : BCI Error :

SQLSTATE=08S01,CODE=0,[DataStage][SQL Client][ODBC][IBM(DataDirect OEM)][ODBC Oracle Wire Protocol driver]Connection refused. Verify Host Name and Port Number.

SQLSTATE=08001,CODE=-1,[DataStage][SQL Client][ODBC][IBM(DataDirect OEM)][ODBC Oracle Wire Protocol driver][Oracle]ORA-12203: unable to connect to destination

Any suggestion is highly appreciated.
