Dates in American and UK formats

Hi experts,

We have a change request here, where the user wants the date format on a report to be changed to UK format.

At present the date shows as 02/06/2008 , 03/05/2008 etc . User says the date is in American format now and should be changed to UK format.

I tried to look for dates in UK format on net but did not find anything substantial.

Please can anyone tell, what are date formats in US and UK in Oracle.
