date time conversion

User_ZAIYJDec 18 2015 — edited Dec 18 2015

Hi All

I am looking for a help to convert the data time format coming from my web service , to local time zone on my DB

UPD_DTTM Filed in my oracle DB is with data type : TIMESTAMP(6) WITH LOCAL TIME ZONE

Time coming from my webservice is :

22-Jun-2015 4:34:38 GMT+05:30 PM

Not working:

UPDATE test_table SET UPD_DTTM =to_timestamp_tz('22-Jun-2015 4:34:38 GMT+5:30','DD-MM-YYYY HH:MI:SS TZH:TZM') where id=123

Error:

ORA-01858: a non-numeric character was found where a numeric was expected

Working case:

UPDATE test_table SET UPD_DTTM =to_timestamp_tz('22-Jun-2015 4:34:38 +5:30','DD-MM-YYYY HH:MI:SS TZH:TZM') where id=123

Can you please help to make non working scenario to work

Thanks
