Date - ORA 1810

What is wrong with this instruction?

w_Period Date;
w_Period_End := TO_DATE( myYear || '0131 23:50:00', 'YYYYMMDD HH24:MM:SS');

myYear is a char value which has '2006' in it.
I am getting a ORA 1810 - Format Code appears twice?
