date Issue-feb..29...

Reddy GFeb 29 2012 — edited Feb 29 2012
Hi Gurus,

Today I experienced a strange problem,I have Dashboard Prompt like start date and End date with current date as default value.

I taken date range 02/29/2011 and 02/29/2012 and it is giving an error like

State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 17001] Oracle Error code: 1839, message: ORA-01839: date not valid for month specified at OCI call OCIStmtExecute:

I know there is no feb 29 in 2011...so it is giving this error..my question is how can i put condition to prompt user to tell him it is not leap year and February contain only 28 days... when he selected a date(29th feb) that contain only 28 days ...
