date format problem of between oracle application 10g to oracle database 10g

hello everyone...

my production database is oracle database 10g 10.2.0.4.0 (RAC) 64 bit and our oracle application server database 10.1.2.0.2 64 bit in windows server

and we have Database level date format is NLS_DATE_FORMAT is DD-MON-RR and to run reports we have oracle application server form and reports

when we run reports in other date format for example..DD-MM-RR if we use this date format then it gives 'Error Unable to Run reports'

so to overcome this problem we have to change date format at query level and it takes a lots of time in conversion.

so please guide me ....
