Date format in Oracle9i
257733Feb 4 2004 — edited Feb 12 2004I'm migrating ms/sql server 6.5 to oracle9i and data insert to the tables is failing because the date format doesn't match.
In Ms/sql the date format looks like this:
yyyy-mm-dd hh24:mi:ss123 plus milliseconds.
Oracle should tuncate the milliseconds and allow the data to load with his date format yyyy-mm-dd:hh24:mi:ss.
I edited the pfile to reflect the date format but it stil failed.
Does anyone know a workaround out there?
I'm desperate and hiting my deadline!
